80 BLOCKS FROM TIFFANY'S

Laying sick at home I came across this 1979 documentary directed by Gary Weiss. It depicted the daily life of gangs within the context of the South Bronx. It dealt primary with two African American and Puerto Rican gangs known as the "Savage Skulls" and the "Savage Nomads".
Now I finally have my missing link to understand where this Stahlhelm, Nazi signs meets jeansvest thing comes from. It's a 70's South Bronx gang thing mostly worn by latin & afro americans to show that they don't give a fuck and are FREE to do and wear whatever they want.
